简介

这是关于Data Science Applications这门课程相关内容的记录. 主要对课程主体进行介绍, 例如会包含这一门课程的课程安排, 作业要求, 上课的考勤等.

关于课程的作业, 我会另外在一篇新的文章中进行书写, 因为作业可能涉及的内容比较多, 所以就不混在一起写了, 关于课程Data Science Applications的作业链接:

课程基本介绍

这门课程不是关于技术的介绍, 更多的是介绍关于data science如何在实际生活中发挥作用, 更多的是一些实际场景, 最后也是使用tableau进行可视化的(但是我是使用了python进行分析的)

最终成绩计算方式

• Individual assignments - Two 1-page reports (2x15 points) and one peer review (5 points) hand in (35 points)
• In-class Quizzes (15 points). 这个课前会有一些小视频, 我们需要看完小视频来回答问题. (在后面课堂出席和随堂测试中会有提到)
• Group Project (50 points, 5/8), 最后的一个大作业.

作业的详细内容

作业1: 第一个作业更加注重的是这个问题的重要性, 也就是这个问题可以帮助在这个领域内解决什么样子的问题. Here you need to come up with a case study that can benefit from data science (e.g., a company/organization) with a specific problem to work with and explain why you came up with this and why it is important to analyze this case.

作业2: 第二个作业需要包含具体分析的数据和分析数据的方法. Should include the method you will follow to find and analyze the data. Explain here what type of data you will use, what tool(s) you will use to analyze them. Also, add what you expect to find by analyzing the data

作业3: 第三个作业是一个group project, 对自己组选择的主题进行详细的描述, 并选择一个topic, 做详细的实验, 并给出详细的分析的过程. 关于作业3的每一部分要写的内容, 可以参考下面的图片.

作业3, 这是我们组的最后的作业data science作业内容, 这个作业是要进行查重的, 所以不要全部抄袭.

等级与百分比转换

这门课成绩与分数的转换关系. 可以参考一下.

• A: 88–100 points
• B: 76–87 points
• C: 62–75 points
• D: 51–61 points
• E: 41–50 points
• F: 0–40 points

课程出席与随堂测试

关于随堂测试, 老师一般会提前在canvas里进行说明, 他会上传三个视频, 你需要在课前把视频看完, 接着上课的时候会使用kahoot来进行测试, 也是顺便进行点名.
